1. And I hope it is an easy one. The way I read the manual, the P2 joystick is wired through buttons 1 through 4 correct? This "works" because none of those buttons are used in games where the P2 joystick is, right?

2. And possibly the more difficult one. I am using a Robotron cab for this. When I got the Robotron it worked minus the sound, however the P1 joystick right directional switch was stuck in the "on" position meaning your guy is perpetually running right. Now with the jrok board and completely different control panel, the P1 joystick right directional swith is still stuck in "on." My guy doing the work says it has to be a "board issue." I say this is way to coincidental for two completely separate boards to have the exact same issue. What are the "non-board" related issues that might be causing this?

Thanks alot for your help!

You might have a few wires crossed up. I'd check the wiring at the connector between your control panel harness and the main harness.

Also, are you using cherry switch or leaf switch type joysticks? It's easy to wire a cherry switch normally closed by mistake. Check that as well if applicable.

Yup... it allows you to, if you wish consolidate your wiring to one side of the JAMMA connector per player, its just a preference.

Can't imagine that's a board issue... especially if the original boards and JROK's do exactly the same.... that's just too coincidental. Sounds as simple as the contacts on the joystick are stuck or there is a problem with the wiring harness.
