Anybody have any experience with using a TV for a standard res game with one of these convertors? I have about given up on the K8000 in my Ridge Racer. It has me stumped (no great feat, however). Before I invest in a convertor and a used 32" TV, I would just like to get some feedback from anyone who may have used one of these JROK convertors. Thanks.

I think I told you in your other thread that I had one, but I only got the S-video one. if your TV has RGB connections, trust me, you'll want to use those, it'll be the closest you can get in terms of arcade picture quality. composite (yellow RCA) is absolute garbage, S-video's ok.

as nice as the JROK is, I still encourage you take another stab at the K8000.

the K8000 in our Ridge Racer is actually pretty good, just needs to be re-capped, only thing that sucks about that is there's no official cap kit for them. one day when I get caught up I'm thinking of documenting all the existing caps on it, because I'm fairly certain it's never been re-capped before and is running all original shit.

just start a new thread and say that your monitor's a G07 or Sanyo EZ instead of saying it's a K8000, maybe you'll receive more help next time LOL

1 project = 1 thread ;)

K8000 = MEDIUM Resolution (standard res was an option, not the common)

Do you have BOTH good AC inputs on the power supply board ? 24v AND the 120v ?
What are the outputs on the power supply board ? (vDC)

Which power supply board do you have ? (P649?)
I ask because there is another one that can be used in it's place, just don't recall the number off hand. (I think it took some pinout rearranging or something though)
