My apologies if this has already been covered as I have found info concerning this CP and the 19-1 but not the Jrok board.

I have a standard jamma harness that is wired for Smash TV at the moment, but I'd like to switch it out for the Jrok board and utilize the Arcadeshop CP.

looking at this:
http://www.jrok.com/hardware/wsf/WSF_JAMMA_pinouts.html

Is it true that, say pin 22 on the parts side, the wire will need to connect to the Defender "fire" button as well as the second joystick to enable firing for Robotron? That doesn't seem right...

No worries

I am getting her done - installed the Jrok board, and using the Smash TV CP, figuring out what movement does what; then simply transferring the wires to the corresponding button on the Arcadeshop CP..

Sweet as cherry pie :D

The configuration screen allows you to change the type of panel you have... there is a mode for setting Robotron 1P fire to either buttons or joystick... If you select joystick then it doesn't share the inputs.

Only if the Robotron fire option is set to buttons. If it's set to joystick then the player 2 joystick will act as the directional fire.
