jrOk Board, Button Mapping Issue

Got it into test mode in Joust, reset to defaults, run the switch test, P1B3 & 4 do not register. Only P1B1 and P2B1 do. PM sent to you James.

This thread is giving me a headache. Just fix this shit already! It's not that hard. This tripped me up for about 10 minutes. We are now on 300 hours of this. Come on, phet!

I believe... The Multi-Williams setup is supposed to mimic the Clay Mutli-Williams board. The standard setup is for a standard JAMMA setup. Which, is what you should use.

Hey fucker, I sent my board to James for testing and I just got this in a PM from him:

So award for the funkiest problem EVER ! The flap button simply would not register on the correct button (!) I'm wondering if that board was programmed with a pre-release FPGA boot ROM.

Anyway I'm going to just reflash the FPGA to the latest version and upgrade the ROM to the V1.08. That should fix the problem and I'll ship it back after testing.

So you can suck it.

After John is done sucking it and James fixes your board- can I buy it from you?

Ah Hellz no. This board, once programmed correctly, will be the greatest board I've ever owned. Never will it be for sale, especially after all the BS I've gone thru with it.

OK, just PM me in a couple months with a price when your selling games to fund diapers.

I just knew it was a board issue.
Wiring Jrok's are so easy a caveman can do it.
Have fun with the multi Phet. I love mine.

Congrats for getting to the bottom of it. That board is one of the best inventions of this century! Until, of course, he hooks us up with Q-Bert... ;)

Wonder where old Jonathan C. Hotcakes is with my written and heartfelt apology? I see he is noticeably absent from this thread now.

Jow if you read this this is the exact problem with the Joust on the jrok board in the game I traded you for the Red Tent. I'm glad I'm not crazy either.

Jim, I'm just gonna ignore that already answered question and state that my board arrived today and it works. Thanks James. Now, one question:

Is the only way to get inviso for Stargate to use pin six on the mini header? Is there a special harness one needs to accomplish this?

You should already have the connector that came with the board for the Invso and Hyperspace. It comes with the wires attached already. If you don't have it then just get one and wire it for the inputs you want to use it for.
You have to use it for Invso but not Hyperspace.
James told me you can use either the 6 pin or P1B5 for Hyperspace but only the 6 pin is used for the Invso.
I only used it for Invso.

Holy shit, you're right, I have that mini harness in a little plastic baggie in my parts drawer. Cool. Did you solder a wire on or use a butt connector?
