Made some more progress on the Stun Runner project... next weekend I will have the wiring and PCBs back in the game and it should be fully working and then ready to sit and wait for me to finish all the graphics.
I got all the metal back from PowderCoat, got the the plastics back from the paint shop and picked up the new custom size glass for the scaled up monitor area.
The LED fixture I usually put in my cabs would not fit in the unique size/shape marquee box so I used LED strips instead. The original Marquee was in fantastic shape so I wont have to repro that. I customized/changed the angle of the Marquee box so it now stands straight up instead of sloping back in line with the monitor angle.
I had all of the metal frame components and the various Yoke parts done in Satin Black and the metal foot plates I went with a texture black like the coin-door (not shown yet) ... I know the original foot pate is just raw stainless but wanted to change it up a bit. Also new rubber on the foot rest panels.
The Dash and Seat plastics really turned out great... I had to repair a giant crack in the bench and rebuild a missing chunk before it was ready to paint... I also had all the button/screw covers painted ad the same time so everything matches.
I tore the Yoke down a couple weeks ago to prep for powder-coating so all parts cleaned and soaked in rust remover. I bought NOS handles from ArcadeFixIt.com along with new POTs. everything cleaned up great and as good as new. I also re-greased the original areas/components so its smooth and quiet (used to squeak with every move)
Since I scaled up the monitor box from the original size (so that I could go from 19" to 27") ... in doing so, the original frame and glass was now to small so I used 1" Aluminum Angle to fabricate a new frame and then sent to powder-coat along with the other parts.
