Wow! Combine your cabinet-making skills with his painting skills and you've got some really cherry-looking cabinets!

once i get the back orders out :D Next week is tempests.. hint hint

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have not been on here much since the whole fiasco with the Pac cabinet. Kinda soured me a bit. I am in full on painting mode, so I am excited to be doing some more work for you guys this winter. Starting a Burgertime on Wednesday after the hangovers clear from New Years!!

They look nice. But isn't pac-man supposed to have overspray? It looks wrong so crisp.

The nintendo cab looks a little too dark blue, but what do I know. I am not a nintendo collector.

Mr Bill Not all Pacs are the same, in the first place. I own one that has very large splatter patterns. I also own one that has a very fine mist of overspray on it. Brett owns a Pac that is original paint, and has no splatter at all!! On this cabinet, the customer did not want the splatter on the cab. Those are also DK2 cabinets, which are painted a darker blue for the alternate art package. The color is called Sapphire sparkle, and is actually darker than it looks, due to the flash on DPTWiz's camera.

Dude, there's always going to be a bad apple when you're dealing with the public. Don't let it spoil you on the entire site.

Absolutely beautiful work, btw.

John's paintjobs are incredible in person. I look forward to the day i have room to have an arcade at my place to get some of them too. I still don't own a single one of my own cabinets.. that's a bitch ain't it?

Better get on that.

Wow the cabs look amazing! outstanding work!

Amen, brotha.

Ill give him credit as Pacman is a bitch of a stencil. His Ms. Pac paint is factory perfect. I hope he gets to pinball cabs soon.

Michael

I own a Ms Pac that's been painted by him, and I can tell you it's B-E-A-utiful. So much better than the stickers.

thanks for the info. I have never seen a clean pac. I have owned maybe a dozen and I think all had overspray. I know zip about DKII. Since its a homebrew game, the darker color makes sense.

true, i have a factory pac with zero splatter anywhere. John is using automotive based paints, and i believe polycril for the clearcoat. it isn't reflective shiny like automotive clear, and looks factory when applied. it's more of a clear sealer coat.
