The Hummer pic up is having issues. It stops the ball fine, and picks it up, but once it gets to nearly vertical, the ball falls out. Is there and adjustment or something I need to look at?

Also, my egg was working 100% when I played it at the sellers house, but once I got it home, it started having issues. The T-rex's right hand gets caught under the front of the egg when it opens, and then it has a hard time closing afterwards.

Thanks for your help.

The metal bracket looks like it might have a stress crack in it. This might have bent and is one reason the hand is getting caught. You might also just be able to loosen a few screws and move the dino over a bit if possible.

The Snagger/Hummer thing I am not familiar with. Looks like there is a magnet that is holding the ball. Could be a brake in a wire going to the magnet/coil. When it is in the down position it is getting power to the magnet. When it goes up and bends the connection or power is lost and the ball is released. Different machine, but same problem as on the original Jurassic Park by Data East. Might also be other things, but hard to tell without the manual and having seen one in person.

If you don't own a DMM, now would be the time to get one. You could check the continuity in the wires going to the coil/ magnet to see if there is a break in the wire if there is not a visible break. If you see any electrical tape it is a sign that the wire has broken before and someone re-soldered it. Most likely it has just broken again. You might also run it in diagnostics and see if there are anythings that seem wrong.

Good luck and congrats on your first pin.

The line in the first pic isn't a stress crack, it's just where the two metal plates rub together. I'll try to move him over.

The Hummer is an electro magnet. I'll try and check the wiring on it. Thanks!

Update, it's now working 100% except for a few burnt out bulbs. Here's what I did:

For the Hummer, I just shifted the wires around a bit at the base of the snagger (where they bend the most) and that solved the problem. I'm sure at some point it will start happening again, but for now it works (plus I know what the problem is)

For the egg, I cleaned the sliding surfaces between the T-rex base and the front of the egg. I also adjusted the T-rex's alignment (with the slotted mounting screw on the right) so that is doesn't get caught anymore.

So with all that wrapped up, time to make some noise and enjoy this thing!

Pretty solid "pro" game--straightforward shot layout with good variety of modes. VERY difficult to get to wizard mode--have to complete all 5 modes, and sometimes just starting them is a pain. Esp. because those green standups are so *fast*. Enjoy!!

Congrats on your first fix! More to come, but they will be second nature in no time.
