OK, So I am pretty new to this fixing up adcade business. I have a 4 player Blitz 99 game. It has a few problems, but nothing too major. A couple of buttons are sticking, and two of the joysticks are pressing to the left.

Worst part is the the two that work are on one team. I want to move one of the joysticks to the other side so I can play two players against each other. I opened the CP and unscrewed the joystick from the base. Problem is, it doesn't just come out. It appears that the top part of the joystick comes off maybe. I didn't want to break anything, so I decided to ask for some help.

Thanks,
Blue

There should be four screws holding the stick in you can just remove them and swap the whole assembly.

If you have some pics it might help to see better what you have going on also.

Sticks are pretty cheap also so dont worry about replacing them

Here are some links

Is you stick like this?

Thanks. I will try and get some pics. I already did the screws. It's the black piece that doesn't allow the actual stick to exit the hole that I don't want to break and am not quite sure how to remove.

The shaft of the joystick is held in place at the bottom by one or more c-clips. These need to be removed so the shaft can slide out through the top. There is a special tool to remove them but if you are careful a flat tip screwdriver works as well, just don't lose the clip.

OK. I just googled this and found a video so I think I may be able to do it. I'll let ya'll know. thanks

Ok, so I was able to switch the joysticks, but I am still having the same problem. The joystick for player 4 I replaced was pulling to the left a little. the player 2 joystick was working fine, so I put that one in the player 4 spot. Now that one is pulling to left. Could it be something besides the joystick that is making it do this?

Maybe it's my eyesight but it looks like the joystick is not mounted correctly to the panel.
The top pick shows the shaft off center from the panel hole. Try removing the joystick from the panel (just hold it in your hand) and connect it up and see if it works correctly like that. Since the shaft / knob looks like it could be hitting the control panel that could cause the slight left movement.
