Trying to trade a Joust for a System 9 or 11 pin but my end up selling if there are no offers for a trade and was wondering what to ask. The monitor was recently capped, a new CPO was installed (but already has a small hairline crack at the bend), a computer power supply was added, has the original glass bezel with no flaking. The game plays 100% with no issues. Here are the pics: https://picasaweb.google.com/105837843065900571838/Joust#

Thanks!

I see Jousts sell fairly cheap now a days. I would say $300-$500.
Joust use to bring strong money years ago (even more so on the cocktail), but the multiwilliams killed the value.

$450 in new England.. Had a tough time selling a near mint one for that.. Ended up trading it away.

I've seen pics of your joust, it's very nice..

$350-$400 around Here when they pop up. Seems to be one of easiest Williams Classic to find along with Defender

$500-$600 if nice.. Had 4 of them last year. then I got my cocktail sold them all.. nothhing lower than $500

I agree with Jon, I just sold a nice dedicated one for $400.

joust $450-$600. That one looks pretty nice, so $500+..

But if you trading a pin, that could be a fair to a bad deal for you... Depnds on the pin and its condition..

$400-$650 is probably the going rate for Joust uprights these days. Yours looks nice so I'd put it at $500+. System 9's & 11's are generally worth more than that - depending on condition, of course. They are probably in the $700-$2000 range. IMO

I'd put it on Ebay with a BIN of $600. That's a very nice Joust.

Not everyone will agree, but I think prices of working, nice condition, classic vids are starting to go up a bit.

I would say thats true, however, I had a hard time selling a Joust (like everyone else) for more than $500. To the right guy, if the game is extremely clean, you might be able to get stronger $$$ for it.

Imho, After the multiwilliams hit in the early 2000's. It killed the price on all williams games across the board (that are on the multi).

Yep... I sold a Joust to a co-worker back then and now him and I are "Arcade Friends" so I feel a little bad for how much I charged him. He brings it up once in a while just to jab me but I honestly owe him one good deal. Not sure when that'll happen because I'm greedy but it will... I swear. :D

A couple of Jousts have sold on Ebay recently for $500-$600 so the price is not out of line. I would put it on there with a $600 BIN and see what happens. There is nothing to lose.

I think the target market at that price point is a first time buyer, someone with a couple of games, or a collector that just wants the game. Not everyone knows what a multi-Williams is.

and the first time buyer doesn't know what they are getting into with the williams board set for long term maintenance...... ;)
