Joust system - wont powerr up in Austin, TX

Hey guys,

Here is a pic of the system board that did not have a fuse in F5. I put one in and now when I hit the reset button at the top behind monitor, (not the power button on the outside but inside the cab) I hear speaker trying to do something each time I hit reset.

Anyway, check the pic and thanks for all of your help

When you say "reset button" at the top behind the monitor are you referring to the white interlock switch that gets held in by the top back door? If so, you have to actually pull that switch out for the game to power up. They either need to be held in like when the door is closed, or pulled outward when you have the door open. If you do not do that, you cannot power the game up. Pressing the button briefly is applying power for an instant. Your fuse shouldn't blow even if there is a problem because it is a slow blow and it isn't on long enough. So pull that sucker out and see what happens.

It is still for sale as is ...but if I were able to fix it...I would probably keep it at least for a couple of years so my kids can have some fun with it.

After pulling out the interlock switch, the monitor now will show fuzzy colors for 5 to 7 seconds, then goes black and repeats like that over and over.

No words on the screen and it does not appear to be "booting up" - just stuck in the cycle described above. I cut it off figuring it would end up blowing the fuse.

Anyone interested in it? or ideas exactly what I should do at this point based on this last update?

thanks in advance
