Thanks to prOk, I was able to complete a nearly perfect Joust stencil today. Not sure if you saw my stencil troubles thread, but I had an issue on the other side with the edges ripping, overspray, paint curing, etc. I decided to finish this side before I fixed the bad side. I am now in the process of fixing the other side, which should only take a couple of days. I really got down about this project and decided to just set it aside til I was in the right mindset to tackle it. I think it came out pretty good ( I even have some authentic looking overspray in the tail area where part of the stencil wouldn't stick down), and I wanted to publicly thank prOk for cutting me a new set of layered stencils. Thanks:

Looks awesome! Can't wait to see it done. Maybe it will motivate me to get mine done.

pRok's stencils are awesome. Here's my latest:

Looks real good. I like those colors. This Joust cab was actually a factory Robotron repaint. Had I not already had the Joust stencils when I found that out, I woulda went Robotron.

...

I would offer a feeble excuse if I had one...

Ahahahahahaha, I read your post like 3 times before I realized, he's not kidding. Yeah there was Robo paint under the Joust paint. Found out when I began stripping the cab several months ago. By that time, the Joust stencils had already been purchased, as had a Joust CPO and marquee.

You could always get the hack saw out and turn it into a Joust cab......

If I recall correctly, this will be a Multi Williams with the stealth Joust CPO, yes?

Again, nice work as usual Phet. One of these days I will get mine painted......

Just picked up my Joust, Robotron & Taito stencils from Prok yesterday.
Let me know what paint you guys use, these are my first cabinet restorations.

Good job. That makes me want to find a Joust cabinet, just to repaint it. Great artwork.. Glad it came out nice. Hope it's a keeper..

That's looking good. Is this the side that you're touching up? Or is this after using the stencil that has each colour as a separate sheet?

I bought a set of stencils for my Joust a while ago, but haven't used them yet. I've been playing the heck out of Joust lately, and enjoying it so much that I don't want to take it offline to sand and repaint it. :)

Nope, the other side is getting re-painted. I am using the separate color sheets to go over my first stencil. It's cleaning up all the edges for the most part. I did the yellow and it came out pretty nice. Not perfect, but much better than before. I refuse to strip the whole side and start over. I am just gonna use the new stencils to fix each layer. I only had one slight registration error, otherwise, everything is lining up pretty damn close. Cream is next, and the red layer wasn't damaged. After that, I do both Williams logos, clear coat it and get the R and TM labels on.
