I swapped out the original ballast for a new one that I bought about 5 years ago. The old ballast was frying the new bulbs - it would turn on and immediately pop off… after replacing the ballast, while playing the game the sound will intermittently go off and the game will play in silence - but a few minutes later the sound will come on again…

Any thoughts, ideas, or opinions welcome…

I do have a JROK Jamma board but I need to buy a Joust to Jamma adapter…

check the fuse holders on the sound board. if you had to move the game around to change the ballast maybe one of them isn't making good contact with one of the fuses and they just kind of vibrated out maybe. the quick and dirty fix would be to take the fuses out and with pliers pinch the clips tighter. if that isn't it then it's probably going to be something more intricate wrong at the chip level. I don't fix these through the mail anymore, @braedel or @yaryar would be your service options.

Thanks for the post. I guess the site no longer sends a notification that someone replied to your post… I was able to fix the glitch by reseating all the chips on the main PCB and sound PCB.
