Might be a dumb question but are the cabinets the same? I picked up a Williams cabinet that has been converted to a Bubble Bobble, just wondering what it was?

Also i don't remember Williams machines having the botton coin door?

Here are some pictures, thanks

There were some number of Jousts released in the Robotron cab, but generally speaking you wouldn't say that Joust and Robotron shared the same cab. The CP's and probably most other parts do interchange between them. You have the Robotron style in your pics. Joust sides angle back under the CP, thusly:

And the lower coin door is factory. They did that so the op's employees could empty the coin bucket without being able to get to the service switches and internals, I guess. Seems unnecessary though.

Thanks for your help, i'll see if i can bring this one back to life.

Was the Sinistar cabinet different? When i turn the control panel over it has one big hole in the center that looks factory.

Aw crap. I can't believe I missed that. Yeah, you have a Sinistar. Robotron had a curved monitor area, Sini and Joust are angular.

No prob. just glad can answer, they all look so close.

thanks again,

Yes, I would say it is. According to ggdb.com, Sinistar is 24.5" wide. The others are 26".

It looks like a Sinistar. Can you measure the cp width?

Yep and you guys are right, it's a Sinistar. Weird i just bought one last week, very strange. I never see them and bang! Two in the same month, strange

Damm Samm! I can't find one near me for love nor money...:(

In any case, this should help clear the confusion on the silhouettes:

Actually, it's probably the other way around. Someone could clear a jam in the coin acceptor without having access to the money.
