Joust Resotration

Yea its going to get finished one way or another. I had another paint issue last night painting my coin doors again. One can of paint clogged 3-4 nozzles and spit puddles of paint for some reason. I was able to fix it and respray with another can, same paint brand etc, and it dint clog at all. No idea. Me and paint dont get along I guess

Ok so originally my plan was to go with mame and do 6 buttons. Then I started feeling like I should find Joust controls and boards and make it a Joust again but after all the paint woes and imperfections I cant justify that. So heres the current state of my Joust Fighter 2.

Wow ! looks pretty good bro :)
Keep going with it!

heh, lookin good there lazer. if you can, pass on the mame and go with the JROK multi williams board. its jamma wired, the board seems to pop up for sale sometimes on klov. it might work really well with your current button layout too.

heres a vid of the board in action (posted by another klover) ....

Current state of Joust Fighter 2. Its all back together painted back doors and new lock on the back. Finished the stencil and the right side was a bigger disaster than the left. Buts its all back together and everything is working. Just need to get my PC put together and play some Joust.

Looks good. In all honesty the CP looks strange because of the amount of buttons and set up. But you did it in good taste and you didn't destroy an original cab. In fact I'm liking the custom CP. As much as I love SF, it's awesome you restored it back to it's original glory. I'm lucky, not only did my favorite game already come originally with a 6 button set up, I didn't have to stencil my side art on.

What FE are you going to use?

Im going to use Hyperspin. Ive got all the themes and videos for the games on my wheel and it looks really cool. Ive also got Dragons Lair 1 & 2 and Cobra Command working in Daphne too. Cant wait to finish it all so I can start working on my pinball machine lol.

Awesome, I really need to start a hyperspin project. It's so convenient to have all the games in 1 cab, and it looks awesome as well. Great thing to have for those of us that do not have the room for all our wanted games.
