Excellent!
Joust was my first pinball. I had Joust and Joust 2, wanted to complete the "Unholy Trinity of Joust". It's a pretty slow game for the most part, but makes up for it after the last ball is drained.. it goes to a 30-second multiball mode with 4 balls. The lights all go out and then start up again in a fast strobe until the balls are released.
Single-player is a bit of a drag, as you're controlling the flippers at both ends, and it's hard to tell which drop-targets on the far side of the playfield you need to hit. A drain on your side results in a ball launch to the opposite side of the playfield, and vice versa.
Multi-player is much more strategic. EACH player gets 5 balls, and the balls have several avenues by which they may pass from one player's area to the other. A skilled player can keep both balls on their own side for some time, then shoot the ball STDM at the opponent, and get the ball back. Even if you drain all your balls, you can still get the ball and score points until ALL balls are drained - AND, a drain on your side if out of balls doesn't count against the other player, and the ball is re-launched, though it goes to your foe.
