I can't confirm or deny if they were used on cocktails, but they were used on some uprights.

Uprights with optical sticks have a different CP/CPO, with larger round holes cut for the optical stick bezel rings. (OP looks like one stick has the bezel missing, BTW.)

Here's a reference thread with more info and pics:

Yes. the bezel ring is missing on one. Adding the Sinistar stick that is complete to a bundle price. You can use it for parts if you want.

Which version do I have? I already have the non-optical ones...hope they are correct. On a side note, what do people usually polish them with?

I'm not sure on the CPO graphics differences (as those two in your pic are different, don't know much about that, as that's the first I've seen it). But the holes for the sticks are larger for the optical stick CP's.

See pics in the thread I linked for details.

Disregard the art differences. That is a CPO from Thisoldgame I gave to him. It was a prototype CPO for a Joust themed MultiWilliams CP. But it was an earlier proto where the art didn't match up with the arcadeshop panel correctly. TOG replaced it with the correct one, and I gave that one to Brian, so hopefully somebody would get some use out of it.

I recently restored a pair that was in the original CP and had original overlay. The missing 'Bezel' part is what limits/constrains the travel to 2-way and the Sinistar/Arch Rivals will not work. This would be very difficult to duplicate.

I'm a little puzzled by the difference between the shafts you show (which have the step, halfway down), and the ones in the OP, which are straight.

I'd also be interested to see the difference in the bezel rings between the two, as they shouldn't be the same, if the shafts are different.

The shafts are actually the same. There is a sleeve that slides over the shafts. After looking closer at the photos from that project, it looks like the steel plate below the 'Bezel/Bearing' is what limits the 2-way direction. The photo of the shafts is without the sleeves.

Whoa, so you're saying the sleeve is the thicker part that's just under the knob, and it comes off? Interesting. I was not aware the 2-ways were like that, as that's different from the 8-ways and 49-ways (where the shaft is a single machined piece).

Also yes, I was under the impression that the top plate is what does the restriction. The bezel ring contains the bearing, and as far as I'm aware that is the same for 8-way and 49-way sticks, so I assume it's the same for the 2-ways as well (so maybe you could use ones from Archrivals sticks to complete these.)
