It was installed last night. Took 2 hours.....I took my time and wanted to do this right since it was my first time replacing this kind of joystick.
The hardest part of it all was removing and replacing the C-clip...which took a whole 5 mins.
There was some CP overlay trimming that needed to be done where the joystick went. During gameplay with the original stick, I noticed a slick "sticking" to the sides, and after the joystick was removed, the overlay did protrude over the metal a bit.
The leafs also needed to be slightly adjusted.
Can't wait to install the CP and try the game out.
Now I just need to order another 3 of these kits for player 2 of Joust, Moon Patrol and Stargate. At 20 bucks for shipping to Canadaland just for the joystick and a yellow and blue button....well...I'll wait to get the goodies delivered to the US when I visit to Phoenix in April......
Next project.......cap repair kit for my asteroids monitor and boardset.
Cheers!!
