Does anyone know how many Joust cocktails were built? I was told a few weeks back 250 and remembered I had heard this same number years ago but that just seems unrealistic to me. I have done lots of searching but can not come up with any clear answers, maybe I just don't know where to look.:dunno:

Also, I came across conflicting reports of Joust pinballs, from 402-1050, would love to find one someday.

So does anyone have a somewhat factual answer to the Joust cocktail question?:questionmark:

I believe the 402 count is correct for Joust pins.
I've seen this number mentioned several times.
(... and I'm pretty damn happy to have one ! )

As for the cocktail vids, 250 seems low.
I don't think it's much higher than 500 mind you,
but it's likely more than 250
(... and I got one of those too ! ) ;-)

Sorry, not much "factual" help for you on that one...

The number that has been bandied about is approximately 400. Mine is waiting patiently in the garage for me to put the joysticks in and clean up the artwork and hacks previous owners have perpetrated on it in the past.

The big problem with trying to accurate counts from Williams title is the fact that they simpley sequentially numbered everything as it came off the assembly line. Here comes a Black Knight pin, x. Here is a Robotron, x+1. Here is a Joust, x+2. Here is a Varkon, x+3. Here is a Joust cocktail, x+4...

I would love to have Joust pin. I loved the way that plays with 2 people. It was even fun to help debug, except when Dave hooked the terradactyl to every event. That was torture.

This book shows the assembly line process for the joust cocktail. Looks like they were all made together.

Ok, so who is doing the joust ct registry, and which number is the serial number, I two have sets of numbers, with one of the sets also stamped into the wood.

I've seen way too many Joust cocktails kicking around to believe 4-500. I currently have 2.

Like I said, 250 just seems unrealistic to me, even 500 is low but maybe about right? This is one of those I have always wondered about, like I said two people have swore up and down to me that only 250 were made. Kind of like a color Tapper, one guy told me ten years ago that 12 were made for executives at Bud and that was it. We know that isn't quite right now. I just want to get more information on some of the myths and stories floating around.

Looking at those assembly line pics is awesome, makes me wonder if one of those games in the book is mine.........
