What's JOUST cocktail tables worth these days? I've got a super clean and nice original table. Running on a switcher, plastics are perfect, cabinet is excellent, good T-Molding, glass has minor scratches on surface, perfect reproduction instruction cards, monitor rebuilt, black plastic bezel intact, joysticks rebuilt and working good. Everything as it should be. As good of an example as you'll probably ever find. In Southern California.

Thanks for your opinions.

I'm starting to think all of them are in SoCal!

Someone local was having trouble getting rid of theirs for $600 or so last year. I chalk that up to the economy, though. I think it's an $800 - $1000 machine (purely my impression, so grain of salt), and I'd hold onto it if you can't get an offer for that much...

I just sent some joust boards to a friend in IL who has one.
I believe Steve S in KC has one. (he's the joust doubles WR holder with Lon)

You can play one at Star Worlds in Dekalb, IL in the very near future.
possibly at MGC in Milwaukee at end of month....

in the youtube video by the joust programmer, he mentioned only 500 were made.
is that a confirmed number, or just a guess based on old memories of the original days?

Steve not really sure if I could put a value on these.. I know if I was offered 1k for mine, I would turn it down...

Are your referring to mine? Or do you have one as well?

Lee

I have one working, but needs the black front of cabinet repainted and could use coin doors replaced with new pieces. The original pieces have some delamination in the plywood.

I like mine and all, but it gets VERY LITTLE play. It's neat to have and is a decent conversation piece, but the game is more enjoyable in an upright cabinet.

I didn't even bother to turn mine on during the New Year's Eve party (same with Dragon's Lair and my dedicated Space Ace) because I KNEW that nobody would have even bothered to play them. The newer racing games and pinballs get the most love during parties. If you want to see the video that I posted from that night (it still shows the laser games and Joust cocktail, even though they are turned off), search "LeeB99" on YouTube and click on the New Years 2012 video link...

Same here, i have mine listed for sale but someone would have to be willing to pay to get it from me.

I find my Joust cocktail fits nicely next to my Joust pin. ;-)

Now if i can find a nice Defender pin to sit next to my Defender cab,
and that uber-rare Robotron pin to sit next to my Robo Cocktail,
I'll be all set ...

;-)

(BTW, I'm in Canada for those tracking cocktail locations... )

Collector friend in St. Louis, Missouri has a working Joust cocktail. Funny thing is she collects mostly pinballs and that is one of just a few arcade games she has.

Ditto - it actually hurts my neck to play my Joust cocktail (since the seats don't look at the screen straight on). I have it in another room; the upright is in my gameroom, and gets lots of play. The cocktail is still a cool piece, and I don't need the money or space, so it will probably stay in my collection despite all this.

Sanders is an upright
Funspot has one

Did he sell it? I thought it was shown in Chasing Ghosts, too?

I'd never own another cocktail, had a DK cocktail with a multigame and couldn't get comfortable with the view angle.
