What are everyone's thoughts on Joust 2? Is it worth picking up? Is the gameplay decent? I've actually never played the game or seen one in person, just watched a few videos of the gameplay on YouTube.

I know not a lot of them were made.

Curious what everyone's thoughts are on this one...

Thanks in advance,
Greg

Play it in person.

If you like the gameplay, and it's somewhere between $200-$500, go for it. If not, don't, `cause you probably won't be able to sell it quickly.

Joust 2

Joust 2 is by far my favorite game to play, so much so that I have two
of them just in case one of them quits.

Joust 2

Joust 2 is a decent Williams game. It doesn't feel like a sequel to the orignial, however. Joust 2 has more of a storyline, and less of a arcade feel; When I play Joust 2, I play it to progress, not for a high-score. When I play the original Joust, I play for a high-score.

I prefer the original. But that doesn't mean that you would'nt be satisfied with Joust 2. Overall, they are both fun games. It just depends on a personal opinion. If you're willing to sacrifice a few dollars, you can get a Midway Arcade Treasures 1. It has a version of Joust 2

Hey Greg,

Come over to my house, play mine, buy mine and then it'll be yours!

Yes, but...

Is the gameplay decent?
No, it's terrible. Joust was horizontal for a reason. Joust 2 is vertical, killing the ability to maneuver around the screen in any sort of meaningful way. The boards are too cluttered and the game play suffers big time as a result. The story surrounding the game is more interesting than the game itself. I'd pick one up if it showed up for a decent price, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find one.
