so after much hesitating (and after playing my journey for the first time in awhile) i took it upon myself to finally fix my non-working journey tape player. armed with a volt meter and more electronics knowledge than before i painstakingly tested every wire, pot, chip resistor, cap ect. the player worked but not when plugged into the sound board. everything seemed to work, but still no volume. THEN... out of the corner of my eye i see a SECOND volume pot!! are you fucking kidding me!!!!! 9 months of hesitating and i missed the other volume pot!!! sure enough that was it. what a dumb dumb.

Probably one volume for the line level and one for amplified volume? Either way congrats on getting working.
