I was just thinking that this might be fun to do, hack the roms to replace the heads with infamous KLOV members.

Example:

I actually did this once years ago with the Turaco program. It was pretty easy to do IIRC once you got all of your images to size and a similar color count in something like Photoshop first. Changing the names is a little more fiddly.

Awesome, I used to use the one in Nesticle on NES games back in the day! A lot easier than a HEX editor!

yah- right.

About the only way this would work around here is to hack in the images of Josie, Muggle, and any other ladies.

Like I would want a frizz/phet/jawhn/etc wiggling his head at me to the tune of a Journey melody...

So you are saying you want Journey: Ladies of KLOV edition?

Aha. So this is the thread that started this, lol. :D

Maybe an edition that stars douchebag guy from New Jersey (what was his name again) and hairy hand guy from MCA?

:)

What program did you use to do this?

I used turaco in dosbox on linux, the program need dpmi so you need that dos program.

I then exported the graphics as a pcx file.

I took the photo of frizz in GIMP and erased the background rotated him straight then shrunk his head to 32x32 pixels then I grayscaled and then reduced the colors to 4.

I increased the color depth to RGB the used the dropper tool to get the palette colors from the pcx image anf the flood fill the colors on the frizz photo to match the palette of the game.

Then I pasted frizz in the pcx and mirrored the frizz photo and pasted that in too.

Back in turaco I imported the fizz photos from the edited pcx file and inserted the on each face sprite alternating the mirrored and non-mirrored image so that it looks animated.

Then I saved the changes and rezipped up the roms into a new journey.zip.
