Journey Escape Atari 2600 game

You even get the first few bars of Don't Stop Believin' (and a few more I think, if you play for awhile).

Did the Journey Escape Atari game have anything to do with the band?
No, The Band is a different... band.

Journey Escape, strangely enough, is about the band Journey. Coincidentally, they - Journey - also released an album titled, "ESCAPE."

you help them make it to their scarab escape vehicle? wtf?
That game was a whole bunch of WTF - you had to get each band member past a bunch of obstacles that included big floating orange heads, hearts with feet, flashing lights, and other garbage. If you picked up these robot alien things, or the big floating head with a crown, you could go past anything temporarily. And if you hit the obstacles, it made this really annoying honking sound (it was always a pisser to get trapped and hear that honking as the scarab ship flew past you!)

Not to say that I didn't play the pants off that game .. the loose 8-bit interpretation of Don't Stop Believing on the opening screen was kind of cool ..

I played the hell out of this game too. You were basically trying to get past paparazzi (flash bulbs) and rabid fans (the hearts). At the time, it was cool for what it was.

Agreed, it wasn't much on game play but I played it all the time. Too me, the manager looked like the 'Kool-Aid Man'
