Journey arcade on Ebay

???

???... You said that game was SOLD!? Is this another one, or did your deal fall through and you just never bothered to bring it up again because you ALREADY had enough money from sales of other games to pick up that convertible Iroc-Z?

I've got a beautiful restored one that's about 3 weeks from being scrapped if anyone's interested in parts. NOS bezel, beautiful marquee, virtually brand new GO7 and everything powder coated, polished, painted or new. This is the last game coming out of my collection and it's gonna leave in pieces or whole, I honestly don't care

This game was verbally sold a long time ago to a friend and forum member however, no payment has been made on it and it's now the absolute last machine out of my basement, i'm gearing up to move and the Journey will not be making the journey to my new place. Options to get rid of it are being explored, one attempt will be made on Ebay and after that, it's gonna be in a heap of parts.

The Camaro was found, paid for, shipped from the other side of the country and my entire collection of restored stuff disappeared with the exception of this white elephant machine, the bitch has gotta go and i don't care how.

So Chris... did you sell EVERY game you had or did you keep a select few for your personal collection?

You guys really crack me up.

I have been looking for a Journey for three years now. I have emailed every single person with a game listed for sale on VAPS numerous times to no response. I had even checked dealers. None to be had. Even searched the FS threads here and saw nothing. Right when I had just about given up I saw the one on eBay and guess what... I bought it. $1500 is well worth not wasting my time looking for it anymore. We can fix it in ten minutes.

And now everyone is shocked that it sold. Where exactly was Chris offering his game for sale? To his cheap-ass friends? I certainly didn't see it in the FS threads here, let alone eBay where someone with money might actually be *looking* for one.

Fortunately I have since found another and will restore it as well... at least it will replace the one Chris parts out and throws in the dumpster.

xoxo van

That's funny Van, type in the keyword "journey arcade" and you'll see that it was offered for sale right here on this very forum back in July of this year. It was also offered once again later in the year as parts or whole and it didn't matter to me at that point since it was the last game in my collection. I did get plenty of pm's to part it out however, it was saved by a KLOV member that bought it quietly behind the scenes, paid a good price for it and got a good deal at the same time. Come to think of it, every damn one of my games were sold to or through forum members.

You obviously found one of my threads at some point and knew it was available but i don't recall ever seeing a pm from you.

I saw that you had one for sale by reading your offensive post in this thread. Never saw your for sale post.

Actually, I just ran a search including the word "arcade" and "journey" and the only game that comes up is djw's... yours is nowhere to be seen either in Google (filtering for these forums) or through the site's proprietary search. It would not have shown up in my search unless you included "FS" in the title. But I wouldn't have bought it from you anyway.

I am glad that it won't end up in your dumpster, though.

The point is, klov is not the biggest nor most lucrative market for selling games. This is an insular community that 90% of people who are interested in games know nothing of.

So before anyone else destroys a game that "won't sell" -- threats which I have read on these forums three dozen times, at least -- try marketing it in a more mainstream venue where motivated buyers are more likely to see it.

Not here, where every game is worth $200...
