Anyone ever been to one? I'm guessing Namco Arcade/Cybertainment assimilated them at some point? Found one of their asset tags on the top of my Galaga 88...which i purchased from a Namco Arcade route manager.

Yeah.

Namco bought Pocket Change (Newark, DE) in ~2000 when they still had 100+ locations.. PC was already dumping locations by the state if they could, before pulling out completely. All the locations in FL were sold to one operator in the mid 90's, which is why they were around a while post-Namco, though they were mostly just completely closing locations & pulling out of areas they had a less dense presence in.

PC owned Jolly Time for a long time before that (I forget if they bought them out or just changed the name to PC).. PC also bought the Fun-n-Games chain (Youngstown, OH) somewhere around the late 80's.

I used to buy a lot of stuff from PC's main warehouse in the late 90's.. they had a Jolly Time neon sign hanging by the loading dock; I don't think they had more than a couple stores, if any, that were still using the name when Namco bought them.

Some fascinating history there. Amazing really, on the internet theres very little info on arcades histories, even large chains like alladins castle or fun factory. Id really love to see more of this stuff documented, like a massive wikipedia.
