I have a Johnny Nero Action Hero arcade, and when I shoot both the guns, the screen jumps up and down and shrinks. I am not sure what is causing this issue, any ideas? The monitor is fine when the guns aren't being shot.

When you shoot a gun with one of these games, the gameboard draws a frame of white screen to determine where on the screen the gun is pointed. This frame of white can tax the monitors B+ circuit and minor changes in screen geometry can occur as B+ changes for that brief period. It can be common, and normal, on some monitors due to the design of the B+ regulator.

If the geometry change is more than minor, it might indicate poor B+ regulation due to a problem in the circuit. Capping the monitor and touching up solder joints might be a good place to start.

I am looking at the monitor chassis and it looks as if it has recently been capped, but I think I will just recap it anyway. Thank you.

what monitor is in there? We have a 33" and it will do that if the pincushion adjustment is not set right also check the B+
Have not had this issue with another one in a 25" those guns dont have recoil. I am curious too do you have recoil guns?
