Any Klovers there want to show me around ..play some games and have a few beers?

I don't live there, but you'll have to be sure to check out Joystix. They have a monthly (or is it bi-monthly?) pay one price admission, all you want to play night.

When in August? August is a big month in Houston, or at least it feels like it. Hot and humid makes the month drag.....

Ft Sam Houston is in San Antonio, is it not? At least it was way back when I had to go there for a stress test on my knee prior to basic training.

Several KLOVers from down there. Do a call for San Antonio members. I'm an hour-and-a-half north of there...

yup.. San Antonio Texas the 2nd week of August. Need ideas on places to go and things to do.

Nevermind then about Joystix...I thought you meant you were moving to Houston.

Guys that I know who are in the San Antonio area:

Hyde
DC2010
Sarconus
frytex (New Braunfels, really, but is stationed in San Antonio)

I'm sure there are others...

My training will be at the base since because I'm a Gov't employee now.

I dont live in SA but have vacationed there with the family, if you have lots of extra time check out the river walk (lotsa walkin') but good food. Also down by the alamo theres some really fun places to go like ripley's beleive it or not which is very cool they also have a wax museum in ripleys for extra $. theres the guiness book of world records museum also awesome and of course the alamo across the street which can get boring if your not into texas history. If you have weekends off theres seaworld which is very nice and six flags feista texas thats a blast,i dont know of any arcades as im not a local but there is alot to do there.

I'm only gonna be there for the week. I don't think I'll have a lot of extra time..but just wanted to maybe hang out at least one night.

then just go to the river walk and stroll around, lotsa good food and bars to duck in for a beer.parkings gonna cost you round $10.00

Maybe..but none of that stuff is very much fun all by yourself.

If you have a rental car, make the trip north to Austin (about 90 mins) and visit Pinballz arcade...

i would probably agree if i werent owed one hellacious apology...F.T.P.!

Send me a PM and let me know what happened. I had a weird feeling about the place and stayed away when I heard some stories from some other folks who "helped out" in the beginning...
