I decided after reading another thread to check into getting some of these new chassis, so emailed the company.
I, heard back and the ones with the remote adjustment cables are 36.50$ea. (3.50$ more than without).. they gave me a ship quote via UPS which was ridiculous (384$, but then again they thought I was buying 24 units, not 12, so I am waiting to hear ship for 12).. If I take half the ship quote, ship might hit 17$ each, then more from me back to people.. .I asked if they had a cheaper ship method but I have no idea the size of 12 of these and have not heard back on that yet (or actual ship for just 12 units)..

They also said: Note: aside from the chassis we supplied you, I will include - ground harness/ signal harness and deflection yoke harness ( 3 type of harness includede).

So I am curious if anyone would be interested in going in for the 12 min order? I would take 3 for sure. If I ship to me in Canada, for everyone else it would be the 36.50$, plus the estimated 17$ (+/-) each ship to me, then additional ship from me to you.. I wouldn't mark that up so it would be what it would be. Because its UPS, there may also be extra broker fees to me here because they like to screw canadians with extra broker fees. So I can go that way if I get enough interest, or someone in the US could get them, ship might be cheaper to them, and ship to other buyers cheaper as well.. and I would pay them for my 3..
thoughts?

That's an excellent price for the chassis, especially for having the remote adjustment boards.

When my friends bought some 1000 in 1 boards from China a couple years ago, we found most companies there do have cheaper shipping options. You have to specifically ask for cheaper shipping methods. Of course since you are in Canada, that may account for the higher shipping charges.

I would agree that if someone here in the USA bought all of them, then shipping would be alot cheaper for everyone involved.

By the way, the other versions for LOW Impedance yokes like the Wells 4600 are:

JS220L (all controls on main board)

JS220LLC (most controls on remote adjust board)

ok.. well it took a while to get across exactly what I wanted as they were mixing and matching the 220, and the 220lc.. so got that straightened out, then they screwed up the UPS quote and the amount 'was' for 12, not 24 as they had thought. Anyways, long story short they have a different courier than UPS now for a better rate. For me to get 12 of these landed, it will be 700$usd. The chassis price is very cheap, but the ship almost doubles it. Add our 5% tax here, and you get 61.25$ea. Add Paypal fees, people are probably looking at 65$usd plus ship from me.
I took the dimensions off the website, and not sure if it is 'just' the chassis dimensions, or the box dimensions. I would assume its just the chassis, but used that dimension anyways to get a rough idea of postage from me to the US. To Florida it would be 22$ea, California 18$ea. To ship 3, if I can get a box that fits 3 tightly the ship is about double. Keep in mind thats just a rough quote but should be fairly close to that.

I would take 3, so 9 left for others if interested.

Ask them what it would be to ship to Houston, TX, USA. If it is cheaper, I'll bet those chassis fit in the USPS flat rate boxes, which would drop re-shipping to just over $10 each.

Hmmm, if only there was someone around here who sold original refurbished units for that price, hmmmmm......

Found a reseller in Australia with stock JS pointed me to.. actually pretty nice people over there at JS.... will see what his price comes to. Will also ask on the 4600 compatable ones.

And if you were trying to make money, that would leave you how much room? lol. Those bastards anyway. For kicks and grins I had asked them about a mass purchase of ~100 boards just to see how much of a price break I'd get. Pfffhhh what a joke.

You are being very generous with you offer here - well done .

Thanks.. well, I just want to get a few to have around down the road as things get more scarce, but unfortunatley they have the minimum order thang... have no issues just breaking even just to get what I need..
Hopefully the guy in Australia ships less than 12 at a time, but if he only does the carton, it should hopefully be cheaper... but who knows as he will more than likely have a markup, and have to have paid for ship to Australia..

Australia is a no-go. He said he pays nearly the same for ship to AU, then a 10% tax.. so shipping then again to US or Canada would make it more expensive in the end.

So, I guess thats where it sits.. is anyone even interested aside from Timothy? I could probably mix in some 4600 compatable ones as well.. Actually I would probably take 2 x go7's, and one 4600 compat now I think of it...if they will do that..

After working with the low impedence ones years ago, you will NOT be able to use them to replace a K4600 chassis.

The low impedence ones are 15 ohm yoke compatible, while K4600's require 8 ohms for the yokes.

Connecting a 4600 to the chassis will work but you will have a lot of geometric issues. You may be able to replace some capacitors on the chassis to support the different impedence but that will require extra work, cost and risk.

These will work best with yokes that are 13-15 ohms, which are attached many 10 pin TV tubes from the mid-80's including Orion from Emerson TV sets, Panasonic, Toshiba, Philips/Magnavox and others.

Specifically the Hantarex MTC900 chassis uses Toshiba tubes with exactly this impedence yoke and they produce a perfect picture with no geometric problems (and also can be swapped with the above TV donor tubes)

I bought my low impdence ones from 8liners/Victor before he switched to WeiYa ones a few years back. Wish I had stocked up on more as nearly all donor TV tubes from mid 80s have low impedence yokes on them and look great in the JS and not so great on the WeiYa.

The company in Australia said they mod theirs for 4600 to work properly. He also sounded surprised they still had stock on the go7 ones so who knows... May be another thing on it's way to history.
So I wouldn't mind a few but it sounds like not a whole lot of interest? Rebuilding my go7 chassis so it's not the end of the world for me if it doesn't happen.
