Jeff Kinder's Home Arcade 2.0

Incredible collection. My eye immediately caught your non-duramold Blaster. Holy cow 🤯 Does anyone own one of those besides you and Galloping Ghost?

Thank you! 33 years in the making!

The wood Blaster cab I have was a scratch build that I did back in 2019. Blaster was definitely a favorite of mine back when in came out in 83, but I only saw the duramold cabs back then. It wasn't until the late 90's when I saw a pic of a wood blaster and LOVED the side art. I was never able to find one and as the years ticked on I knew the price they were commanding so I just decided to make one. I based it off a Stargate cab since those two cab profiles were similar and used the JROK PCB for the hardware.

Couple more Taito cabs you don't see every day…. Alpine Ski and Wild Western, released in 1981 and 1982 respectively.

They weren't the greatest Taito games, but I have fond memories of playing both games a lot when they came out. Both cabs are in great shape. Just need a good cleaning.

Hate to see such a nice one with a big hole for a credit button like that, but cool nonetheless. Much nicer shape than mine!

Always amazes me that machines like these are still out there to resurface.
Glad there are people with inclination, room and the $$ to scoop them up before they get multicaded or landfilled.
A stunning collection there good sir!
Wish I had as much room

Looks like that Kickman is an old Aladdin's Castle machine? It has one of the coin slots disabled with the slot flipped upside-down.

Does it still have a property tag on the top right side? if not, you'll probably see a couple nail holes where there used to be one.

I always like finding ex-AC machines since they're often in great shape, typically being sold out of a supervised location into a basement within 2-3 years of new.

Haha... you were right! No tags, but some nail holes from two tags!

Need a light grey one, a dark blue one and a green one. Those are the best. :)

4/12 ... still a ways to go.

Hehe... I love that Taito cabinet profile guide!

I do have Front Line, Space Dungeon and Zoo Keeper in the basement. Also have Jungle King and Qix in storage... plus a pending deal on an Elevator Action. That just leaves the alternate black & white cab and Tin Star.

I'm really torn about Tin Star... some people might like it, but it's so bad in my opinion I just can't bring myself to buy it. Haha

I've never seen Tin Star till just now ... doesn't seem that bad.

Reminds me of my own decisions regarding adding Blasteroids to my "Asteroids Collection" and ROTJ to my "Star Wars Collection".
At the end of the day, I had to do it. :)
(Though admittedly, the raster games pale in comparison to the vectors which preceded them. I believe most would agree).

Ok maybe you just talked me into getting a Tin Star. Lol.
