Teh gameroom door is gonna have to be widened. I measured the hallway, the game will just barely be able to go down it... Just barely. Gonna hire a contractor to do this, I don't trust myself to redo the door frame. This will also be tons cheaper that cutting a new hole into that room. A few friends talked me out of that, mostly because of the electrical work.
Swing by soon, and play! I just have it in my livingroom at the moment. Bring Mike.
Man, I need to clean up my house and throw my arcade-warming party soon! Wendy, fly out here and help me turn my pigstye around!

Well, yesterday/ last night I got the coin mechs to work (They wouldn't accept a coin at all) and took a sideart paint chip to Home Depot to have color matched (Damn if it wasn't perfect...!) masked and fixed the left sideart to an acceptable level, and some other small woodworking details.
Tonight when I got home from work, I wired up the right side coin return button to give a credit, removed the horribly warped top of the cab, (Where, oh where, can one find particle board anymore...?) ran the speaker wire away from the florescent light fixture (Previous owner had the speaker wire running right under/through the bulb, that can't be good for a sound cable, correct? Unfortunately, that didn't get rid of the hum noise)
Getting ready to change the dip switch to give 2 minutes per coin, right now it's set at 1:30 for some reason...? Seems too short to me.

Plus, depending on how much UV light a game is exposed to, different Space Wars might have different amounts of fading...?

Ok, got the top squared away on Sunday morning... It is now up to my "Can go into the arcade" standards. Not as high-level as a Phet resto, but a decent cleanup for my tastes. Here's a few pics of the 'saving of the top':

Nice work on the roof and the stencil. The roof came out like new. I completely forgot to respond to your PM about the dips. Sorry about that, but my SW is in no position to be easily moved to check the board at this point unfortunately. I can try to get a pic from the coin door, but it will probably suck. Don't you have the manual?

Yeah, I actually found 2 copies of the manual, but both show the dips as only 2 switches, and mine has 4...?
If you don't mind, it would be VERY appreciated... (And only if yours is set for 2 minutes per coin...?) I can only get 45 seconds, 1 minute, and 1:30 for some reason.
You can just stick the camera in through the coin door and aim it to the right and probably get the dip settings. On mine, it's a red box with white switches centered horizontally, about 3" from the top of the PCB.

All my friends are sick of me begging for help, lol.
I have actually paid coworkers to come over and help. Back when I could afford to. I'm a clutterb... packra... Ok, a hoarder. I don't have nasty pizza boxes and clothes laying around, I just have a lot of unfinished projects, sawdust, bolts and junk everywhere. And boxes of stuff I don't need, and need to get rid of. You've seen the shows. It's not easy separating a hoarder from all their crap!
But.
My arcade is pristine. And my living room, kitchen, and bathroom are presentable... My other two bedrooms are ridiculous, though.
If you want me to come and clean... know one thing... I aint cheap... (airfare is costly ya know) and I would not want you anywhere nearby while I do clean. If something gets axed I don't want you to know about it! If it isn't something you haven't needed in a few years, then you will never need it... and if you did need it, you'd have to be able to find it.
It was like me saving my one pair of super skinny jeans from high school that I was able to fit into only one time even in highschool when I was about 90 pounds... I held onto those babies for over 20 years... when it finally dawned on me that I will never, ever, ever fit into those again, and finally got rid of them. There comes a time when it makes no sense to hold onto them... and I am sure it is true w/some of your junk as well.
The toilet seat would have to be clean before I would arrive though...
