Jawhn hugs everybody.
T-minus one week, and 39 hours-ish until I start the evil drive. I'm 50% looking forward to it, and 50% dreading the trip. Wish I had a passenger I could talk to, so I don't go too crazy for 10 hours each way.
That's Google time, I'm sure I'll get there faster, but will take as many breaks as I need to. I drive up there Monday, spend the night in a hotel Monday night, meet up with Jim around noon on Tuesday, grab the game, and then I have to decide if it's worth driving straight back to avoid another night in the hotel, or if I'm still wiped out, might wait until Wednesday. I have to work Thursday the 2nd...
And I'm diabetic, so I have to force myself to check my bloodsugar every few hours to make sure I'm ok to drive. Sadly, driving with low bloodsugar is almost equal to driving drunk. Except it sneaks up on you.
Now I might have everyone worried. Sorry. I will keep a very close watch on my bloodsugar, I promise.

Believe me, I've been trying... A lot of my unemployed friends can't even make it. My retired dad wanted to, but another obligation prevents it. Sigh. I'm going either way, but yeah, it's more of a road trip compared to a chore when another is alongside!

Ok, time for some picture updates... Drove up there Monday, spent the night in a hotel, met up with Jim early in the morning, loaded and tarped the game, and headed back. Holy cow, what a long 20 hours. But I now have the fully working holy grail in my house, and have already started fixing a lot of little things on it... Pics because it did happen!
