I have had this slot machine for years but the led display has gone out. I can see an image but it is super super faint. Everything else works great. Anyone ever have this issue? Other than a replacement screen is there anything I can do to fix this?

Do you have voltage on the red and white wires

at the main board and to the display?

if so did you reseat you ribbon cable

and confirm its locking connector is locked

and ribbon straight the plug?

Not much support with the Chinese and Japanese slot

just the school of hard knock's!

My Boss keeps buying them..

and they can be kinda neat.

Heres a parts company

http://pachislos.net/

All the other features work good.

Some things come alive after your playing it.

Thank you so much for all the options of things to check. I will do all of these this weekend and come back to report. The parts website also is great, thanks again.

Ok I just checked the display power and I had 12V there.

Then I did a horrible move and shorted the positive and negative together F*#^**#}^*. Now barely anything turns on. A few red leds and the light that lights up the bottom front area. Now I just get 1 V to the display. I checked both of the fuses on the main power supply. Something sparked when I shorted the wires. I can't find anything that looks bad. Damnit,

Anyone have any ideas what to try?

Unmounted the power supply and there was blown in line fuse in there. Replaced the 125V 5A fuse and we are back up and running. Led display is on order, should be 100% soon I hope. Fingers crossed!
