Just thought I'd save some folks some money/headache if they happen to search and find this. Isn't fully wired (missing ground and power connections to a lot of the pins).

Yeah, that's been commented on here at least 3-4 other times.

My experience with them was that they were junk. One was DOA, the other gave 2 different games serious heartburn (they were acting up) and was missing a bunch of wires.

I switched to Bob Roberts extension cables and while they were pricey, they were fully populated, made from great wire, and my games were happy with them.

as far as the jamma harnesses, i don't mean to disappoint, but they're not worth the $10 you pay for them. both power and ground use a single wire (yes, 1 instead of 4 for +5 and 6 for ground), and you'll end up with a massive voltage drop like i did. not to mention a potential edge connector issue down the road. go bob roberts. more expensive but way worth it.

I have used the jammaboards harness many times and never had a problem, but I will also say Bob Roberts always has great parts too.

I have used them as well, but they are NOT high quality. They can be considered sufficient. I used them for a couple of 60 in 1's, but I won't use cheap ones like that again.

I liked JAMMAboards' "printed circuit" adaptors as opposed to the hand wired variety, because they are a lot neater. It's a shame that it's the very simple things that they can easily correct that give their adaptors such a bad reputation with some.

Sadly, I'm sure the problem is that they want to hit that $10 price point - every wire on a harness has to be put in by someone. Even if the wire isn't that much, the labor to put in those extra pins does cost them.

I appreciate the warnings guys - when I'm ready for a Jamma harness, I'll probably go Bob Roberts (I like dealing with him anyway).

they do work though, WITH multiboards IF you power with a atx directly to the molex connector.. so they do have thier purpose. I wouldnt use one on a standard power hungry board though...

Oh, I'm sure they work fine with a LOT of boards. I just know from experience that if I try to go with a harness that's only 'sufficient', I'll end up debugging stupid issues for the next N years.

I'm sure this really boils down to getting what you pay for. If you want a $10 Jamma harness, then you know aren't going to get the best thing since sliced bread. It's just nice to have the confirmation.

This is also what I used for my 60-1 (10$ harness). Haven't had any issues. Never used any of their other products though.

well let's put it this way. i'd use them, but never for anything going in my personal collection.

I'm the exact opposite. I would use them in my personal collection but not in something I'd sell. My logic is if it's mine and it breaks I can fix it. If I sell it and it has issues it's likely to be a head ache for me. I should also note that I only have one jamma cab which I swap boards in and out of. So if i use one of these harnesses it would be a one time install with little likeliness of the wiring being touched again. I don't swear by these but I have a couple games running them and have had no issues.

My experience with Jammaboards.com has just been bad. Their Jamma harnesses use cheap wire. So cheap in fact that I was having power signal degradation issues from the power supply to my jamma board. Using the Jamma harness and the jamme extension harness is a big no no in by book. Signal degradation is just too great. There is a seller I found on ebay that sells really good quality Jamma Harness's if your interested PM me and I will look it up. Everything is wired individually and the wire used is good quality. I am actually in search of 5 jamma extensions though, Bob Roberts is probably my best bet but they do cost significantly more than other sellers there. You pay for what you get I guess.

For Jamma extensions, I'd go with Mikesarcade.com

I have his and like it alot.

There are only 2 problems that I have noticed with Jammaboards' extensions. BOTH coin 1 and coin 2 wires are attached to the coin 1 pin and some of the grounds aren't actually missing, they are all just clumped together on one pin. Here is a video I did of how I got them to fully work...
