Does anyone have any experiences, good or bad, with either the JAMMABOARDS.COM version of the JAMMA to PAC converter that requires a switcher or the LizardLick.com JAMMA to PAC converter that converts AC to DC on board?

I am currently leaning toward the JAMMABOARDS version at $20 vs the Lizardlick version at $60 considering I already have a couple spare switchers and even if I didn't I could buy a nice switcher for $20-$25 vs the $40 additional LL wants for their board.

I think i remember a couple people having issues with the LL version with the power conversion... anyone have issues with the Jammaboards version?

Thanks!

I am hoping to have one in the mail today from JammaBoards. It sucks when you are hoping for a part on Saturday and it doesn't show up. I should just track it but like the surprise of getting the mail. I have a feeling it will show on Monday.

It has arrived. I am going to throw it in my pac mini with a 60-1 to check it out. Instructions would be nice. Jumper settings and perhaps some wiring information. I see a place to plug in a atx power supply. I guess I will have to use two plugs. I am assuming you still need to use the original plug to power the monitor and marquee? I checked their site no instruction.

Lemme know what you find out... I am waiting with bated breath to pull the trigger.

If considering a switcher....have you checked out the 12.99 Pac to Jamma adapter here:

Install time was less than ten minutes and very easy. I did not have a atx power supply so I used a switcher and wired it with a atx connector. I have not messed with the optional jumper to use the player start buttons as action buttons but that is the plan. Nice product imo. I also ordered the player button harness though I do not know if I am going to use it.

Using the player start buttons as the player action buttons via the jumper is a great feauter. I did not have to alter the cabinet to accomidate a multi jamma board. Very solid my Brother.
