Jamma to MVS cab adapter from jammabords.com -5 connect hole?!

Ok, Im probably going to get my machine fired up today. Hoping to remove the switch and get it back in place. i have NOT yet put the -5 volt line in. I can not see the traces to verify that 4 slot neo board does NOT have any leads coming off the -5 volt connector yet.

I am slightly confused though.
I notice the -5 volt trace on the Jamma boards adapter Has a hole about half way between. It does look like -5 would flow around whats marked the -5v connect. but it also looks like the trace is very minimal??

Do I have to solder in the connection here?. or is it a optional solder if you dont want to run the -5 perm ??..
im a lil lost on this and they did not include any documentation to explain this part..
Im going to check out their website and see if I can figure this out, but I would like to see if any of you have used this hole or just ignored it?. any performance change from filling it with solder or just leaving it?

thanks everyone

No, don't do any soldering there - just run the -5V from the ps to the proper pin on the MVS harness and you're done: boards that need the -5V will use it (via the adapter that you've got pictured) and boards that don't need it (like your neo geo board) won't. Simple!

Ok, sounds cool

Ok Sounds cool..
Why the hole?. Other wiring option?
Just curious :)

Yup.

Exactly im removing a switch which had good idea behind it
but did not properly and correctly switch from neo to Jamma So im fixing my harness and already got my adapter :)
I was just thinking about one of these today! Nice! I can reuse my Neo Geo cab for Jamma games too!

Yup just placed my order for about a dozen things, then realized their contact address is about 30 min from my house! Maybe it'll ship quick :)
