Hello Everyone-

Does anyone have any advice on a jamma board testing kit? Maybe some kind of mini lcd monitor kit...?

Whats the best way to test a monitor without getting shocked? I have repaired monitors before but always get a little paranoid whenever I am fine tuning them while they are on. Is there an affordable oscilloscope?

LCD monitors don't have the required inputs that a gameboard generates.

In a test situation, all monitors _MUST_ be powered with an isolation transformer of the correct voltage.

99.9% of the time you won't need an oscilloscope.

Actually, the PSone LCDs sync to CGA... that's what I've got for my test bench. It works pretty well, you just need to hack a cable onto it instead of using the PSone connector.

For monitor testing, I just use a crappy old JAMMA board, or one with a test pattern in it's test mode if I'm trying to fine tune a monitor and not just find out whether it works.
