I am a bit curious with how jamma swapping of other pcb's in my jamma cab (neo geo) would work. If the game only requires 2-4 buttons which the neo geo is setup for, then I should in theory just plug in the new board and figure the button config on the fly? Some games were jamma like rastan/ninja gaiden/robo cop and seemed to be fit for a 19". I have a 25", would this cause a difference in resolution making the game sprites look worst? Thanks!

I actually have a single slot, that I use for my jamma test rig. The buttons shouldn't change, 1-4 are all pre setup via the Jamma. The good thing about it being a Neo Geo, is it uses the -5v also. Some games require that.

Monitor size shouldn't matter, as all games are going to need minor adjustments when plugging them in.

Keep in mind that multi-slot MVS (and some single slot) cabinets are wired for stereo speakers on the edge connector rather than mono. This is different from standard JAMMA wiring.

If your cabinet IS wired for stereo, you might damage the amplifier circuit on some JAMMA games (some will only play sound on one side, some will not play sound at all).

You can make a small switch that will allow you to select either stereo or mono output, though. All you need is a 4PDT switch wired the way I did in this post :
