I'm getting no sound in my JAMMA cab. I've tried two different pcb's and neither have sound when plugged in, so it's not a board issue. I checked all the voltages and they seem to be fine. I'm not getting a hum from the speaker- I hooked up a working speaker and no hum either. What's my next step? Thanks guys!

I would follow the speaker wires from the JAMMA socket all the way to the speaker(s). Maybe there is a connector along the way that got unplugged? A pin in the JAMMA socket came loose?

What kind of cab are you using?
Check pins L and 10 on the harness to see if there are wires there. If there are, trace them to the speakers and see if they're conencted.

If you are using a dedicated cab which uses stereo speakers like Lethal Enforcers those have a seperate harness for the sound and the speaker wires are not on the Jamma harness.

It's a Dynamo HS-5 and I'm thinking there is a separate harness inside for the audio. I can't get to it from the front of the cab- I'll have to move it and take the back off tonight.

I traced the wires to find this dangling behind the coin box:

Looks like a new volume pot is in order...

OK fellas- school me here. I talked to Bob Roberts- no luck on the 50 ohm, .5A rheostat replacement. He said that they are pretty hard to find and he hasn't come across them lately. Can someone help me find one or can I use another rheostat/pot in its place??

Mouser Electronics sells the original Ohmite brand rheostat:

# 588-RES50RE Rheostat, 50 ohm, 12.5 watts, 1/8" diameter shaft, open style

The Ohmite number is RES 50E or RES 50RE if you want to look it up at other suppliers like Digi-Key or Jameco or Allied Electronics. These are NOT cheap parts.

Thanks Ken! Could I use a similar part in its place??
