I'm working on my second batch right now of JAMMA SNES systems. As soon as these are mailed out, I can start taking orders for the second batch, probably this weekend.

Here's a video overview of my latest JAMMA SNES:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPmGudPbdNI&feature=channel_video_title

Features:

-Powered via the JAMMA loom, no power cord
-Still works with a regular TV
-Fully configurable controls via barrier strips
-Plugs directly into CPS2 kick harness for 6 button support
-Audio amplifier built in to do mono sound through JAMMA harness
-Stereo RCA jacks (unamplified) to connect to a stereo

They run $165 plus shipping in the lower 48, if interested just shoot me a PM. :)

yeah sale point is a some of market skill and picture will say thousand words and will pull more customers..

Bump, I update the first post with a picture and a link to my youtube video featuring a JAMMA SNES system.

BTW I updated the price, it is 165 BEFORE shipping, not shipped, sorry. But I can fit a system in a medium priority USPS flatrate box, so it's only $16 with tracking and insurance.

very interesting. you definitely need some snes hooked up in Jamma cabinet for playtest video. kind of like you genesis videos but showing playtest video and then showing it installed and running as well. good start, i think you really got something pretty awesome here, but you need to have more videos with some top 5 popular SNES games running. good luck and you might have a future sale but i need more video and some kind of guarantee of it not going caput in 2 weeks.

I agree completely. It looks well done but I want to see it in action on a jamma harness, using an arcade control panel before I spend that kind of money.

It needs to be plug and play.

I am ready to buy one for my Astro City if I can see those things.

Just curious, how are you running the RGB video in this thing? Are you just tapping the RGBS ports and running them straight to jamma or are you using some type of video amp in-between?

The jamma SNES I built uses three 220uf caps in series with the RGB lines, but no amplification. It works on an egret II monitor, but I have to crank brightness up all the way. No idea how well it would work on WG or other American monitors.

this will work with up to 8 button and 1 joystick per person (joystick, abxylr and start/select).

Im drooling all over this....!!!! what s time line?

i need to fund.. damn there s too many stuffs i want LOL!
bump for SNES!!

They are totally plug and play. By default the first three buttons B, A, and X are buttons 1-3 on the JAMMA harness and the rest of the buttons are through the CPS2 kick harness, but any button is configurable using the barrier strips. I just shipped out the last unit that I had (I have been selling too many to make one for myself yet), so it will have to wait until I can build a few more over the weekend to make a demo video. I only have Super SF2 for SNES though.

Of course if it crapped out on you in 2 weeks (which it wouldn't) I would repair it for free, that is ridiculous and I don't treat my customers like that.

There is no amplification, going from CPS2 board to JAMMA SNES my monitor needs to be darkened a bit actually (New Astro City).

They would be sent out sometime during the work week next week if people pay before the weekend starts.

Sorry I misread and only saw RGB, but I see you said RGBS. The sync goes through a sync seperator circuit using an LM1881.

X2 would like to see in action before purchase.

You don't need a sync seperator for the Sync on snes since they have a dedicated CSYNC out. You only need the seperator for the PAL SNES systems since the CSYNC line is replaced by 12v. For the ORIGINAL SNES, the RGB is good enough without amplification, but you should have the 220uf caps in series on the RGB lines to filter out the DC offset.

For the later mini snes, they have far superior brighter and fuller RGB, but still need the 220uf caps to filter out the offset, and potentially 75ohm resistors as well to darken if your display is too bright.

Hi guys,

I am still working on getting a video made, this weekend I started on a system but I wasn't able to buy any SNES pads, but I should be able to buy them today so that I can post a video tomorrow. :)

Need to stock up on about 5 more systems and 10 more pads...

I might buy one I would like to see it hooked up to a jamma cabinet with a 6 button control panel with a couple of videos of the top 5 games being played. You could have a lot of the playchoice people on this if it works well! I will wath the tread for updates and videos.

Someone put one into an arcade Nintendo Super System so that you can instead play any SNES game on the arcade upright.

SGnG!!!!!!

I don't own the top 5 games, whatever those are. I can show you a video of the sound, video and 6 button controls working properly though. It's a SNES in a cab, that's it...you know how the games are on console, right? It's the same thing in a cab, it just looks better.
