I'm setting up a cab for a multicade but having a monitor issue. I was going to post this under the monitor section but I really don't think it's the monitor. See the attached photo.

I get the top on the bottom and the bottom on the top. I tried replace with another wells gardner monitor and get the same, replaced the power supply and get the same. put in a different PCB and get the same. +5 -5 and +12 all meter OK

There are the typical 5 wires for video - red, green, blue, black, and white for sync. This monitor has 6 pins and was previously jumped so sync was for the top two pins. When I saw how the monitor looked (in the pic) i jumpered it also, with no help.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a possible monitor connection issue, or a possible monitor incompatibility issue.

BUT - we need to know which monitor it is first....

Both monitors I tried were WG 19k4951. I noticed with these monitors, in addition to the 6 pins mentioned above, also have 3 pins above those labeled neg H sync and neg V sync and ground.

The extra monitor I had lying around that i tried had a harness attached and someone had split the black ground, with one wire going to the three pin section and had also split the white sync wire with BOTH going to the other two pins (no sync going to the 6 pins config, only to the three pin config). I'm willing to try this unless someone yells Nooooooooooo!

You can try it that way and it might work, but you may also need to remove the sync wire connected to the middle pin of the 3-pin connector, as the 4900 sometimes won't sync properly with a composite negative sync if they're both connected.

The ground usually only goes to one spot - the spot next to blue - but it can go to the other spot also. I don't think it's causing any problems being connected to both spots.

Also, did you reflow the solder to the video input pins?

Hooking up the monitor that is currently in the cab with the same configuration mentioned above fixed the issue. Thanks for your help.
