Today I drilled the lock out for the coin box area, and lo and behold the manual for my Lucky and Wild game was in there! So, I'm using it to help me learn the ways of the JAMMA.
My Lucky and Wild game needs a flyback so while I'm waiting for that to come in the mail, I'm trying to troubleshoot it so it will at least play blind. In the attached pic, you'll see a white connector going into what I believe is the EMI-PC board (as per the manual). The connector is a 9-pin connector, and I'm trying to determine its location on the attached schematic. I'm guessing it's the box shown above the fluorescent lamp on the schematic, but for some reason I don't think the wire order on the connector in the game matches the schematic. It's showing the numbers as 1-9 on the schematic, so I'm thinking that 1-3 on the connector go from left to right on the top row, with 4-6 being the second row, and 7-9 being the 3rd row of the connector. Does anyone know if that's right?
If I pull the connector from the board, what I 'believe' to be wire #4 (purple) is burned, as is the wire below it in the connector (my guess is that wire would be #7). But, if you use my wire order as the guide while looking at the schematic, the schematic shows there's no wire at #7. So, basically, I could really use some help in understanding with what I'm working with here!
I've noticed inside the coin box area also that there is a test switch, however I need the screen to be working to use it. Damn I hate waiting for mail!
Any help from you JAMMA dudes would be greatly appreciated.
