I've never had a jamma board, but i will have one soon. I don't have a harness though and I'm wondering where the best place to get one is.

Arcadeshop has them for $55
Bob Roberts has them from $22-$40
ebay has them for around $6-$15

none of those prices include shipping and truth be told, i'm not even sure which one i'll need (i'm still doing research on that - for SFII CE)..

but my question is, does anyone recommend one of the above places to buy from or somewhere else?

It turns out I need to place an order with both bob and arcadeshop (but $55 seems awfully steep for a jamma harness, so odds are i'm passing on arcadeshop anyway).

bobs are high quality but do not have connectors for buttons and joysticks so you have to crimp your own on (he may have a more$ harness with connectors)

as for the others i cant vouch

i have been using nixs harnesses he sells they are pertty cheap(dont rember exact price)
they are not the high quality like bobs but do the job and will work just as well and the bonus is they alredy have connectors for all buttons and joysticks as well as for the ps

bob roberts' harness looks and is probably really great. i just wired up a cab for jamma, and went with a harness from jammaboards.com. it's setup with quick connects on all wire ends, 22 gauge wiring with 18 gauge for the power supply, and has the video cable with a molex connector on it. grabbed it for $10. would've gone with bob's harness but i'm trying to keep cost down.

yeah nixx sells 'em cheap

just looking at them though and seems they are not labeled in english

nixs harness is the same as the ones at jammaboards the cheat sheet from jammaboards will wire you up just right with the harness nixs has
(i like dealing with nixs because hes a member and the deals seem a little more personal where ordering from jammaboards is like ordering from best buy lol)

i never have actaully used the edge connector to wire a harness when i used bobs i used his cheat sheet and the same for the hranesses from nixs

i havt to say tho bobs harness is by far the better product he uses heavier wire and the edge connector is much nicer as well if i wasnt so broke and if he had connectors on the harness id go with his harness hands down every time
