I have a couple jamma harnesses from TQ or some place like that and I noticed pins 27/e are not wired. These are normally "ground" according to the Jamma standard but the way it is wired from the factory has nothing on 27. I think things like Pandora's etc use 27/e for something but I am hooking these up to MK 1-4 and SF2CE series games (hyper fighting, redwave etc).

My question is: Is 27/e needed for anything for the games I'm planning on playing or should I just leave it un-wired? I could run it out of the harness and ground it back at the power supply if I need to I suppose.

Other ones that aren't wired are the Key Slot (Don't care), Coin Counter (Don't care) Lock-out coil (don't care) Tilt (Don't care) and oddly enough Video ground at 14.

The video harness with the plug however does have a ground it just takes it from 2/B. I can plug it right in I believe.

I am not sure if there are any mods I need to do to the harness or not at this point honestly.

Any help would be appreciated.

It could be needed, but likely isn't needed as you are doing the wiring for the rest of the cab. At the very least I'd rewire the video ground.

That and the video ground are odd and not recommended. Not sure if this is a new thing for them or if those that recommended TQ's harness didn't know what they were talking about.

On the bright side of you use a 645-1 game elf with that harness you won't have to do the ground mod to get the controls to work.

Can I just jump from the Video ground over to pin 1/2?
