Jamma finger boards (JB-3/JB-2) feedback

Those are nice but I cant use them to slice break (ba-dum-tss). :)

Can I buy 40 off of your site or do we need to wait?

That said, Ian I looked on your site for JB-x and wasnt able to find anything. I'd love to see what youre selling.

I have simple fingerboards like "JB-1"... it's just not worth my time to sell $1 items.
I don't make anything like JB-3 because I don't like making adapters that way, and I primarily make stuff for my own use.

PCB manufacting has gotten cheap enough that I seldom bother to use fingerboards anymore... It's easier to just fab dedicated adapters.

It's pretty frustrating the site won't return results for jb3 or jb-3. Both if which are in the meta tags.

Yep that is a pain in the arse. I ran across the same issues with jammaparts, paradise & twisty.

I did get it fixed tho in the end. The best I could ever get it down to was three letters or numbers.

Twisty works great if you type in the beginning of say an eprom like 253 or anything else for that matter...

I only have ten left of the jb3 I just put in an order of 200 but It hasn't started production yet and I can order more.

Of course mark, no one likes doing the fingerboard but sometimes you need a weird adapter and it's cheaper to just solder some wire than wait 2 weeks and $30.

I use the same cart engine as twisty. It seems to be okay with most 3 letter or 4 letter items and meta tags but it has issues with 2 letter and some 3 letters.

Thankfully, this isn't my profession, kiddo....

And those pictures are from 15 years ago...

So the pictures on your site do not represent what you sell? Very professional. You're either a liar or just a poor businessman (or both).

thats funny all the complaining of non copyrighted pcbs and mark won't sell stuff anyways so why does he care. i made these three last year and never saw a big demand (i thought there would be) so i stopped after the initial test run because to get a good price on them i had to do 1000pcs each. Good luck with it Ian and great job and mark stop complaining about people selling stuff you won't sell.

3 letter/number combo works fine for G07 on your site. However like you said JB3 does not work. Did you tag the part itself? Not in the meta but just like you would add tags to this forum post.

Oh hell it's the dash - that's messing it up. Search wont pick that up.

Since you'are apparently illiterate:
1. This is not my profession
2. This is not a business.

Nobody's ever complained about buying boards and not getting perforated edges.

This is the JB-3, it has a jamma edge on one side and a bare 56 pin edge on the other side that you can solder an edge connector to and then wire up in between.

Jamma JB-1 is basically just half of a JB-3. My plan for this is to put 0.25" QD terminals for power where the 2 extra holes are in the originals. But otherwise unchanged from that

JB-2_full_scan1.jpg

The JB-2 is kind of the same thing as the JB-1 except it has 0.1" headers on the end. I can not find a reason to use this. Which is why I am here posting looking for people who actually want the JB-2. It's clear people want the JB-1 so that will be ordered this week. with the JB-4 (prototyping fingerboard) being ordered probably next week.

I still have a few of those jammaboards JB-1 boards laying around. They make great adapters. Didn't know they went out of businesses.

Chill, you two.

so I updated the order with the fab house.
200 JB-3's ordered
and
200 JB-1's Ordered.

More information on JB-4s soon.
but here's a sneak peak. Still need to finish the daughter boards.

Just to confirm, but spacing between the 2 prototype areas is 300 mils?

What about 36 and 44 pin JB-4's to replace the Jamma side? Might be useful for adapters to other harness that aren't Jamma. I think 36 and 44 are the most common.

yes 300mill spacing between rows. with columns shorted out, just like a breadboard.

Not sure how exactly this would be used with another harness type but it would come down to demand as to whether they get made. Its not very expensive to do a run of 25 boards this size but I would have to see demand to modify the design.

You would use it like you do now, but in reverse. Need to make a Jamma to Konami, Jamma to Pacman, Jamma to Taito, Jamma to Nintendo, Jamma to Falcon, Jamma to SNK, or Pac to Konami, SNK to Taito, VS to Nintendo, Nintendo to VS, Pac to Konami, Jamma to Galaga, etc.
