This will probably have simple solution for those who know about such things, or incredibly difficult and expensive (as most of my problems tend to be)

I have a dedicated konami track and field and I have both T&F and Hypersports cardsets.

Usually, I open the back and switch the harness manually to play the other game.

I have a dream of having both games in the cab WITHOUT opening the back and manually switching between the cardsets.

I purchased two konami to Jamma adapters and a two game multi-jamma card in the hope that I could re-do the cab into a jamma set-up and thereby have both games and switch between t he cardsets by a simple maneuver (in this case, pushing the player one and player two bottons together)

Am I crazy? (Probably) or am I seriously overcomplicating a simple idea. Has anyone done this type of thing before?

Please let me know any suggestions. Is it hard/impossible to rewire the cab for jamma to be able to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

What you are trying to do is pretty straight forward. You will need to remove the original wiring, install a Jamma wiring harness (I suggest getting the one from Bob Roberts), and plug in your games.

Some problems you may experience:

1. People here do not like Jamma conversions, some will likely bitch. I suggest you just ignore them unless they offer a good alternative solution.

2. Depending on the switcher you have it may need work in order to operate properly. Switchers from China are notorious for needing rework in order to function.

3. Running the signal through this many adaptors may cause it to degrade. Of course, you will never know until you try.
