I just finished building my test bench and was going to start building some adapters. What are some of the adapters that can not be made and will have to be bough for them to fully work. Im thinking centipede if i want sound and nintendo. What other cannot be made?

They can all be made, some are just more complicated than others. A Nintendo adapter would require an inverter circuit and a sound amp, in addition to converting it to a JAMMA pinout. I think the info to make one is available online somewhere.

There's already a Nintendo JAMMA adapter available, and it does have the video inversion and audio amplification on it.

Mikes arcade has them. I was gonna post a link, but I cant aaccess the web site for some reason.

OZ just tried posting a link, but like I said, that's not the one we're talking about.

They are saying there's an adapter that will allow you to play JAMMA boards (60-1, Arcadeshop, etc.) in a Nintendo cab.

The one Mike's has allows you to play Nintendo boards in a JAMMA cab.

Only you are talking about it. Everyone else is talking about the reverse.

Oh my bad! :D

I thought that's what CrazyKong and SectorSeven were talking about. It's too early for me. Well, what I'm talking about doesn't exist apparently.

But yes, JAMMA to Nintendo adapters are readily available.

Yeah, I was talking about the one from Mike's Arcade, since the OP was looking for adapters for a test bench, I assume he wants to be able to use Nintendo boards in a JAMMA set up, not the reverse :) I just didn't remember off the top of my head who made them.

Yeah, you're right. I tried searching for JAMMA to Nintendo and found nothing. I guess it's too hard to do something like that. Most guys just put a separate JAMMA harness, PS and video converter in there which seems like a lot of trouble. I don't plan on converting my DK, I was just curious if I were to let's stay stumble upon an empty Nintendo cab. :)

OZ and I were talking about something like that cause Cadash also released w/ a kit for the VS dual cab.

Now something might exist to put a 60:1 into a classic Nintendo, which I have seen done.

Adaptors like you guys are discussing can be done, but there just isn't a large market so they'd likely be done one off. Of course, this drives up prices and slows down production.
