I've just ordered another monitor chassis from 8liners, so now I can
finally get my stand up cabinet working again.

I'll be permanently running tetris plus in the cabinet which uses the
jaleco mega system 32 board.

The only problem with it, if it really is a problem anyway, was that I
couldn't figure out how or if this board saved high scores once the
power was turned off.

As far as I know, there are no dip switch settings that enable high score saving
and I've already changed the cr-232 battery on the board with no effect,
so I think the battery may only be saving the bookkeeping info.

The manual for the game is in japanese so even if it was in there,
I couldn't understand it anyway and so far, I haven't been able to find
a manual for the motherboard itself.

So, is there anyone else having this issue?

Does this setup even support high score saving during power-off?

Tetris plus

I am in the same boat with my Tetris Plus. I cant read the Japanese manual so I am screwed so far on settings. Mine also does not save scores after power down. I have only had it running for about 2 weeks in my Multi-Tetris. I have not tried the see what happens aproach with this yet. Will do that soon. I got mine from a vendor in Japan. The instruction card is also in Japanese. I put that on anyways to have as much art on the game as possible. Not many around in the states as far as I can tell. I know where to get a NOS marquee if you need one by the way. Good luck on this. I am very curious to see if it can be done.

This one's been bugging me for the past year and a half.

It just doesn't seem right that a game this recent doesn't support high score save,
especially when there are much older games that do.

At least I can confirm that it isn't just an issue with my board, so it shouldn't
bother me as much now.

I got mine from an importer, I think it was NCSX or something.
It wasn't cheap, but I think it was well worth it.
I think in the future, I may get a jamma switcher so I can run both
it and tetris plus 2 in the same cabinet.

It was the last game I bought for my standup before I foolishly converted
it to mame. I missed the game so much that I decided to re-jammatize it.

I'd like to have the marquee, but I just spent the last of my disposable income
on the monitor chassis because I fried the first one.
