Jail bars after cap kit

Hey KLOV, I've got a Wg 25k5515 that had some jail bars on the left side of the screen, so I did a cap kit. But now I've got jail bars all the way across the screen. All caps checked again, and all were soldered in well and with correct polarization.

What else could be a cause of jail bars?

Thanks.

There must still be a cap not covered by the cap kit. I would check any that are close to the flyback. They tend to dry out first.

Stupid question. But did u adjust the brightness after the cap kit?

Yes of course, but the bars are still there, and are evenly spaced out. They can't be seen as burn when monitor is off though, so I'll replace the 3 remaining electrolytic caps that weren't in the kit, 1 of them a big cap, 560uF @ 200v, in the high voltage section.

Thanks.

WG 25k5515 jail bars won't go away

Well, not sure what's left to try here. I did a cap kit first, and just now replaced the B+ cap (560uf,200v @C505), but still have jail bars evenly spaced out across the screen. I've messed with all of the color drives and cutoffs, and also the the screen adjustment (brightness) on the flyback, but still can't get them to go away. There are 2 more electrolytic caps that are listed in the monitor parts section of the monitor's manual (1uf,50v @C373, and 22uf,100v @ C706), but I can't find them on the monitor board.

The monitor manual can be found here (look in the left margin for option to display or download manual):

Anyone know where else I can look, or are these bars probably just burned in, even though they can't be seen when the monitor is off? Since all of my caps are now new, are they showing now, unlike before the cap kit?

Thanks.

is there an electro on the neck board? usually a higher voltage type like 250V or so

No, just 3 resistors, and 3 transistors on the neck board.

Funny thing is that after the initial "pop" sound that I described in the first post, the blue color intensified dramatically, and I had to turn down some drive. But, after the cap kit, I never had to re-adjust it back to where it was before the "pop." Also, I never found any distorted or blown caps, or any other bad parts, while doing the kit.

Could it be a resistor or transistor on the neck board?

Sorry if these are "noob" questions, but this is the farthest I've ever had to trouble shoot with a monitor. I've done several cap kits, and flyback replacements, but never had jail bars remain after any of my previuous repair work. So, this is new to me.

Many thanks for any help and explanations.
