I bought this at the beginning of summer from a friend of a friend and it was kinda working. The machine would coin up a game and play but had very few features working. After a lot of switch/contact cleaning it plays 100% again. About five weeks ago it frustrated me to the point I walked away from it and left it alone and only went back to it yesterday. Amazingly while working on another issue I found the short, by accident, that had been puzzling me all along. For now it is a great playing machine. When I take it apart to move it I'll replace the power cord and leg levelers. Sometime this winter when the shop is cold I'll take off the coin door and give it a resto. I know most of you don't like the EMs but how can you not love one of the very best wedges ever made. It will find a place in my collection of SS machines.

Wedgeheads are cool. I have a few. Most people hate ems because they never played one that was shopped out. They`ll play a pin that`s been sitting in aunt martha`s basement for years with rubber bands & band aids & say old pinballs suck...

I've had several EMs but really like wedges. I like the art, PF and overall feeling of a Gott wedge. No other EM manufacture can compete. I like the pointy people era from williams but it isn't as good as a wedge. A good shopped machine plays smooth and has great game feel. If you don't like EMs I say try one in great condition and then tell me why you don't like them.

I laugh, as I'm close to the exact opposite... I love EMs, but haven't found a DMD (or newer) that I'd play more than once. Give me a classic old EM or early 80s SS machine any day...

JBK... what's that you've got sitting under the legs on that? Are those just a set of three-wheel casters?

Whatever they are, do tell... I want to get my hands on a set of those!

Three wheel caster, works great for moving machines around the garage. I got them at lowe's around $4 a piece. Poor man pin dolly.

I have a lucky hand which is the add a ball version of jacks open they look almost identical. One of my favorite pins and one of the last on to sell

I'm going to disassemble it today and move it into the game room. It's going to hang around a while and get some playing time. I had been looking for a JO for a few years. Now if I could just find a Atlantis and Target Alpha my EM grails would just about be complete.
** pic added of JO in the lineup.

Jacks Open is such a great game. Frustrating, but it keeps you coming back for more. Target Alpha (and all it's iterations) is also one of my favs. Good luck finding one. I would love to have the Canada Dry version from Spain.
