Any opinions on Cinematronics Jack and the Giantkiller?

Never saw one in the wild, and don't hear much about it. I may go home and fire it up on my MAME cabinet to see how it plays.

What would be the approximate value of a working example in good condition?

It`s one of those "Love it or Hate it" games. I always thought it was too hard to play.
I have an original sales flyer for it somewhere in my shop.

I like it. Fun game IMO.

They don't seem to sell for very much though. If I ever saw one locally I would buy or trade for it.

If anyone has a worling one in decent shape that they want to move, send me a PM.

Personally I think the game has its own charm...and can be kind of addicting.

Strange that the marquee and bezel would be so colorful and the CPO would be black and white ... any idea if that is original?

By the way ... if Jon (eXidy) is looking for one and can't find one, they probably don't exist.

Perhaps it's a myth ... like the G Spot. ;-)

Yes..this is definitely original I purchased it new in the box. This is the Naomi version..they later licensed it to Cinematronics who released the US version which I have included picture of below..I have both since the art and cabs are totally different....The game play is the same from what I've seen so far..I haven't beat the game..its actually pretty challenging...

Probably purchased one from John Robertson..he had quite a few of those a while back...that is also the Naomi cocktail version likely as thats what version John was selling..their cpo was silkscreened onto metal...the US cocktail version has large control panels that are literally almost as large as the upright and basically the same art as you see on my picture...I actually have a few of the control panels in my stash..I purchased a bunch of parts years ago from Anthony at Quarter arcade and he sent me 7-8 panels to get as many nice ones from the parts as I could.

I played it a lot as a kid, too. The version I saw in the wild is as displayed by Roadrunner00000000000000000000 above. I'd buy one. Damon had one at CAX the year before last. Had totally forgotten about that game until I saw his.

We had an offbeat arcade that got a lot of the oddball games like Hunchback, Red Clash, the ones that were less expensive.

I remember it and kinda liked it in that weird quirky way. Not sure it'd be fun to own outside of a MAME cab?

Man that cocktail version looks awesome! If I was closer I would definitely try to snag it.

If anyone here gets it and gets bored of it drop me a line. I would love to buy or trade for it.
